A man, who went to Ginolu Port in Çatalzeytin district to get sand, found some gold coins and handed them over to gendarmerie.
300 gold coins were recovered from excavations carried out in the port by Kastamonu Museum Directorate.
The coins are estimated to date back to the 5th century.
