Having officially been launched in October 2010, TRT-ANATOLIA draws, for the most part, on TRT archives and the other productions realized in conjunction with TRT channels. With its international channel in Kurdish, TRT-6 makes most favourable contributions to Turkey’s international and more specifically regional relations. Having been launched in March 2009, this channel catering to a vast geography from the Far-East to the Balkans covering Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaican, Bosnia –Herzegovina, Albania and Turkey in the languages exclusive to these countries aims at forming a unity of language and opinion between Turkey and the other Turkish-speaking countries. AVAZ, which means VOICE in many Turkish dialects, embraces a sprawling region of 250 million people from the Middle East to the Caucasus consisting of 27 countries and 13 autonomus republicS as the common voice of Turkish-speaking republics.

The documentary channel getting the world acquainted with Turkey in English, German, French, Russian and Turkish broadcasts documentaries in a variety of fields including society, nature, the environment, science and technology. Carrying past to future and tracing natural developments, this channel became operational on October 17, 2009.

Aiming to contribute to Turkey’s relations with the international community, the regional countries in particular, this channel, in its capacity as the common language, common screen and common expression of Turkey and the Arab regionS,caters to all segments of society regardless of age and gender, offering a content of rich substance with youth, women, health, economy,sport, music, news, culture , art and entertainment programmes as well as drama series and current affairs slots. The 22 Arab countries comprising a population of 350 million are the target of specific broadcasts by this channel which also serves to consolidate the ties between the Arab countries and Turkey.

This channel which started operating in August 2010, attributes due importance to every branch of sport and broadcasts national and international sport competitionS and organizations either live or recorded.
