Guterres said the Turkish government has provided "temporary protection'' to the Syrian in accordance with the rules of international law.
UN High Commissioner said further that Turkey had sufficient capacity to provide assistance and humanitarian aid which is being distributed by the Turkish Red Crescent.
Guterres noted "United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has also cooperated with the Turkish authorities and provided support however the real work here was done by the Turkish government".
