Turkish Foreign ministry strongly condemned the shelling attack on Houla that killed at least 110 civilians including 50 children.
A statement made by the Foreign Ministry said that this ruthless action that aims to punish people without discriminating between children, women and old people is a crime against humanity and a new indication of unlawfulness and cruelty of the Syrian administration.
Drawing attention to the fact that the Syrian administration disregards commitments undertaken with the Annan plan and U.N. Security Council resolutions, the statement said that crimes against people not going unpunished is the collective responsibility of the international community.
"The international community should show that it will not be a mere spectator to inhuman massacres like the one in Houla and cannot show endless patience regarding commitments stemming from the Annan plan being met" it said.
