Neither the presence of the international observers nor the UN Envoy Kofi Annan's plan for peace could bring peace into the country.

An organization called Al-Nusra Front took the responsibility for a suicide attack which hit Deir ez-Zor city week-end. The organziation said in a manifesto they published, "We will continue to support the struggle of the Syrian people."

Meanwhile, sectarian tension rises at intervals in Lebanon which is feared to be dragged into a civil war. The Assad supporters and the opposition members clashed in the streets of Beirut.

Rocket launchers and automatic rifles were used in a recent clash in Beirut which killed two people.
